Denver International Airport (DIA) is a large airport that you can fly into. It is approximately a 1:30 minute drive to the Embassy Suites Hotel.

Colorado Springs Airport is a much smaller airport that is approximately a 30 minute drive from the Embassy Suites Hotel. This airport is easier for a person to use.

Canned oxygen is available in the pharmacy at Walgreen's and many stores.

Places you may want to go...

The Denver Metro Area is located approximately 1 hour north of Colorado Springs.

Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre in Morrison Colorado north of Colorado Springs.   The park is known for its very large red sandstone outcrops. Many of these rock formations within the park have names, from the mushroom-shaped Seat of Pluto to the inclined Cave of the Seven Ladders.  Many entertainers perform concerts in this beautiful outdoor Amphitheatre.  Red Rocks is approximately 1 hour and 5 minutes from the Embassy Suites Hotel.

Nearby is the Royal Gorge Train that you can ride for the view or enjoy a dinner train experience. There is also rafting trips nearby.

In case you decide to spend more time in Colorado Springs or the Denver area this will give a few things to think about.
We hope you have a great time here.

Restaurants

Margarita at Pine Creek is a quaint restaurant next to the hotel.  You must make reservations.  They serve a several course meal as well as lunch and brunch.  On the weekends during the summer they have a farmer’s market.

You can stroll down Old Colorado City on Colorado Avenue checking out the various shops.  When you want a break The Yellow Mountain Organic Tea House serves appetizers and a wide variety of teas.  You can sit in a traditional table low to the floor or request a regular table.  Reservations are suggested.

The Mona Lisa Fondue Restaurant is an experience.  Upstairs is the restaurant where reservations are recommended.  Downstairs in the wine cellar is a separate entrance where cheese and chocolate fondue are often offered as a happy hour special.  Both are fun. First come first serve seating in the wine cellar.  It is an intimate dining experience.

Manitou Springs has shops, an arcade, a park and a number of restaurants.

There is an airplane restaurant where a party of 4 (if I remember correctly) can actually dine in an old airplane. If you do not get seated in the airplane you can walk through it.

Palmer Lake is where you will find a small-town community with an ice cream house, a couple of restaurants and a small lake that you can stroll around.  Paddle boating is permitted but I am not sure if you need to bring your own or if you can rent one on site.

You can probably find anything you want or need on Academy Boulevard
which is a short drive from the hotel.

                  See you there!
