"Knights of the Air"

New Life Operation - November 1965

 


These photos are a sequence of shots taken (as best my memory serves me) in a village called Vo Xu in the La Nga Valley. The operation was called "New Life" and it was November 1965.    

The troops are 1st Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment, who at that time were attached to the U.S. 173rd Airborne Brigade at Bien Hoa. (This was before the larger Australian Task Force was sent to Vietnam in 1966 and based at Nui Dat in Phuc Tuy province.)
